Theresa completed her MSc degree in January 2018. For her Master’s thesis, she evaluated the validity of nutrient profiling systems for the assessment of the nutritional quality of foods in Canada. Her research aimed to provide an understanding of various nutrient profiling models as reliable indicators of the healthfulness of foods, and to provide regulators with pertinent data that will facilitate the selection of nutrient profiling models for nutrition policy. Theresa completed her BSc at the University of Toronto with a double major in nutritional sciences and toxicology. She also has comprehensive experience in scientific and regulatory affairs related to nutrition and has spoken on health claims at various national and international conferences.
