Sarah was a fourth-year undergraduate thesis student in the L’Abbe Lab. She majored in Neurosciences and Nutritional Sciences and first joined the lab in the summer of 2022 as a research volunteer. Sarah utilized the NOVA classification system for identifying processed foods on the Canadian food label innovation program (FLIP) database and supported work toward the automatization of NOVA classification using machine learning. Her research examined the relationship between cost and food-processing level in the Canadian food space.
