Kacie joined the L’Abbe Lab in February 2018 as an Endeavour Postdoctoral Research Fellow from Australia. She has dietetic qualifications and a PhD in Nutritional Physiology which she completed at CSIRO through the University of Adelaide. Kacie is furthering her research expertise by using the unique databases of packaged and restaurant foods developed by the L’Abbe Lab. The purpose is to expand her research skills assessing nutritional quality of foods and food environments to inform non-communicable disease prevention policy and interventions. Kacie has an academic appointment in Nutrition and Dietetics at Flinders University in Australia where she undertakes research on nutrition and cardiovascular disease and trains future dietitians and nutrition scientists across undergraduate and postgraduate programs offered at Flinders.
