Ayesha was a third-year undergraduate thesis student in the L’Abbe Lab, majoring in Global Health and Nutritional Sciences, with a minor in Critical Studies in Equity and Solidarity. She first joined the L’Abbe Lab in the summer of 2022 as a UROP student during which she examined the relationship between food price and nutritional composition in the Canadian food supply using data from the Canadian Food Label Information Program (FLIP). For Ayesha’s third-year research project (NFS394), she continued her summer research project to determine the impact of policies aimed at improving the diets of Canadians on food prices and household food purchasing.
