Ola is a Doctor of Public Health (DrPH) student at L’Abbe lab. His interests and work focus on the intersection of government, business, and health systems to improve population health. His research examines how front-of-pack nutrition labeling policies influence what multinational corporations sell worldwide.

He is also passionate about global health policy and has over 15 years of experience, focusing on strengthening health systems through evidence-based technical assistance to governments across Africa, Asia, and the Pacific. Over the course of his career, he has led and contributed to complex, large-scale development initiatives funded by a diverse range of bilateral and multilateral partners, philanthropies, and government agencies. His work, which involves designing, implementing, and evaluating health programs, draws on implementation research and knowledge translation to improve health outcomes across multiple countries.

Ola holds an MBBS (equivalent to a Doctor of Medicine in Canada) from the University of Ilorin in Nigeria, and a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) in health systems and services research from the University of Stellenbosch in South Africa. He is also pursuing a Collaborative Specialization in Global Health at the Dalla Lana School of Public Health.
