Guanlan is a Postdoctoral Fellow in the L’Abbé lab. She received the CIHR Healthy Cities Training Award for 2022-2024. Her current research focuses on understanding the economic and nutritional costs of food purchasing behaviours across neighbourhoods. She has a strong interest in big data and machine learning approaches as they are dramatically changing how we understand food consumption behaviours in ways that have never before been possible. Before joining the L’Abbé Lab, Guanlan completed her PhD training at the University of Toronto and The Hospital for Sick Children.
